Just wondering if anyone here has a tatoo and what your feelings are about them?

I used to tat my friends with a home-made gun back in highschool but I have no tats myself, I haven't found anything I like enough to get it permanently etched into my skin, or maybe I am just a wussy.

Nope, and I never will get a tatoo. I have nothing wrong with them, but I dont personally find any need to defile my body with one.

Depends on what the tatoo is, and who its on, but they can sometimes look quite nice.

I got better things to spend my cash on. And Ive heard if you need to get rid of a tatoo, it can be hell.

I dont have any and really dont want any either. More power to those who like them, but they just look kinda dorky to me.

I kinda want one. When I was going out with my girlfriend, I'd use the excuse that she wouldn't let me... But now that we aren't going out anymore, I just have to admit that I'm kinda frightened about that big needle...

I dont have one, of course since I'm too young, but I'm planning on getting a few when I'm 18~19. My mom has 7 right now, all acquired in the course of 3 years.

I don't have one, but if I ever found something I want to permently put on my body then I'll get it. But I'm not just going to get one for the sake of having a tat.

You have to try and see into the future and think, "Is this something I'm going to still want in 10 years?"

I've had my fraternity letters on my ankle for about 9 years, and the band around my bicep for about 4 years, and I'm not tired of them yet. I always got mine where they could be covered up if need be for work etc. If you ever get one, they can be addicting. I've considered getting one at the base of my neck between my shoulder blades, but haven't gone for that yet, and don't know if I will. I knew opinions would vary, but personally, as long as they are fairly tasteful, I like them.

I would wait til you know you are done growing (guys can go til they're 21 and girls normally stop at 17-18). Also keep in mind if you get one and then gain alot of weight down the road (and it happens) it will stretch...and depending on where it is and how much it stretches, can look nasty.

I've thought of getting a tailpiece done, but would wait until I was in better shape before going thru with it....however, like a few others I am deathly afraid of needles and pain...and also have never come across something I would wanna look at on my body for the rest of my life.

Laser removal of a tattoo today is less harsh then it was 10 yrs ago, but still leaves some visible damage.

I thought about getting one a few years ago but couldn’t think of a design that I wanted on my body permanently. Some designs I really liked but would look pretty silly when I was older. :p

i got tattoos. they bloody hurt but you get used to it after a while. had another done last week, but not happy cos it's gone horrible and i am very worried now. it's not healing up and scabbed badly so there's cuts in the skin. all the others were fine, done by the same place, same guy. the only reason why it could of gone like this could be that i went back to work the next day and since then stretching the skin that the scabs kept breaking and it could never reheal in time. now i got a week off, we'll see how it goes.:(

it depends where you get it... my friend said it barely hurt at all on his arm, but it hurt more on his chest.
when there's little skin in the area it hurts more

I almost got a tat years ago. Glad I didn't though. Most people I know who have that done are not getting them removed.

I guess it is a personal preference but I just don't see the need or coolness about them.

I have quite a few tatts and a few peircings still....... when i first turned 18 i went crazy and got a bunch of peircings ALL over my body...got a few tats then.....the novelty then wore off and i removed just about all of my peircings(i left my ears and my toungue)
then i got seriously into tattoos....i have a sacred heart gracing my chest bookended by sparrows, my dogs names on my forearm...a huge tribal on my lower back and a celtic sun on my neck.....im not quite done with them all......but i found other things to spend my money on i.e. one VeeDub and one 200SX :D
so now im torn between 2 loves tats and cars!

I wanted to get a tatoo a wqhile back but I guess that it was just a phase cuz I don't want one now and Im never getting one. Im not against tatoos it depends on what the person and personality of the person is whether they look good or bad.
