Delayed ignition

HI everyone,

Few weeks ago I got a 2004 Maxima SE and I have a little problem.
When the car is cold I have to keep the key in the start position for quite some time before car starts. On my previous 2001 Accord V6 as soon as I turn the key, the engine was running.
They connected my Maxima to a computer for diagnostic and said everything is fine.
But that long start time bothers me.
Any ideas what can be wrong, or I'm just too picky.
(I'm ashamed to start my car in front of my friends :-( )

how long is quite some time? 5 seconds or half a minute

3-5 sec, but I'm used to "right away"

oh, in that case it isn't a problem most likely...you'll just have to learn to live with it

But it sounds like an old car which can not start from the first time.
