what are caps?

hi i was wondering if anyone knew what caps were and if they were worth the money? thanks

or maybe a capacitor? for stereo?

well, I will go out on a limb ....... a cap(acitor) is an electronic device that stores a charge. In some cars, it stabilizes the voltage a bit so the headlights don't dim so bad every time the bass hits. They work wonders on some cars - and do virtually nothing for others.

yes i was talking about a capacitor and thanks for your replys. now i know i don't really need one.
