NZ Civic Trans Swap

Hey i was woundering if some one could help me out here.
I just brought a 96 Civic Coupe. It is Auto and 1600 Soch (Non Vtec).
Before you ask why i would do suck a thing. I will just say i Live in NZ we drive cars on the left hand side of the road here and therefore the cars have to be right hand drive. To get a Right hand drive Civic Coupe is almost impossible in NZ and they were only eva made Auto. When i say impossible i am 99% sure i have the only 96 EJ7 in the country.

Anyway what i want to know is how difficult would it be to do a Swap from a automatic to a manual. Or on the other hand how diffucult would it be to do a swap to B16A or B18C with a manual gear box. The reason i ask is that i have been told by a couple of local machanics and they don't want nothing to do with it.
My car is one of a kind ova here so i won't sell it but i do want to have a honda with bit of balls to.

All im asking is there any problem in doing one of the above swaps or any which you recomend. I would like to know of any info that could help me out please keep in mind that i know very little about this subject and what is involved which is why im asking.

The swap is easy enough - just take the engine/gearbox combo you want out of any EF/EG/EK and switch it in. If it's a D series all will be good. I'd suggest the ZC/D16A that came out in the Aussie EFs -> EGs.

Otherwise, get engine mounts imported and drop in a B series from the EG6. Oh. and yours isn't the only one in NZ - there were a few guys on AF that had them a while back.

Oh, and you need to redo the wiring or your reverse lights stay on ;)

I'll start looking and asking round.

The only reason i said that mine might be the only one around was that every single person i have taked to round Northland and Auckland have never seen a new shape Civic Coupe or even no of one being here.

But if there are any Guys/Girls out there in Aus or NZ with one Please let me no. Im really interested to see what you guys have done to ur EJ7's.

If theres anyone else out there with a little infor to share feel free as im always learning.
