Hello,
I want to get a supra BAD! I love these cars, the one I looked at has a few issues I would like to share.
It has an oil leak, i think I know where though, there is a steal(or metal) line that comes up over the intake cam and then connects into the TB, before it connects to the TB there is a piece of rubber hose connecting it to another steal(or metal) line that runs to the TB. It has cracks in the rubber and is approx 2.5-3" long. I am not positive but could the oil be leaking from there? I drove the car and it needs an alignment and new tires. The leather is fudged but that's ok. It has the TEMS system in it, unfortunately this Supra is automatic. I talked the owner down to 1250 bucks. I know I will put some money into her to get her nice and runing but I don't want her to crap out on me later. She also had her check engine light come on, and another light that indicated something on the rear end of the car? I have no clue but it was above the brake light(which is next to the check engine light). The light displayed the body of the car from a birds eye view and had lines at the rear of the vehicle indication somthing from the rear maybe?
I believe the check engine light comes on due to a faulty O2 sensor. It only comes on intermitently. I believe it also needs a brake job, or the brakes at least need bleeding, the pedal almost goes all the way down before the car slows down, when it does slow down it stops good though. Please all you Supra owners, help me out, I need to know by tomorrow because I need to pick her up tomorrow if I do decide to get her. I can also add she has a new head gasket and head installed. She did boost well during driving conditions.
