Break light on and off

Hi,
I have a 93 Cutlass Ciera S and the break light on the panel is almost aways on.
I start the car (With or without the hand break on) and the break light is on.
Once driving it might go off if I slam on the breaks or break hard
Then it might go on again.

Any clues?
I am stoping by my way home today and getting a can of break fluid.

First thing is to check to see if the master cylinder is full. Most of these cars were equipped with a low fluid sensor on the master cylinder.
if the fluid is low, then check you brake system for worn pads or shoes and leaks.

i have an oldsmobile cutlass ciera 88 and my park break lgiht comes on -- and its because my parking break is a loose, so what i did was i took a small tight pony tail and wrapped one end on the parking break and i saw a screw and i put the other end round the screw so it holds the parking break up. That maybe a problem - but expect it to be ur last or so.
