D16Y8 issues

I have a 97 Civic EX it has 157,??? on it and just installed a AEM short ram air intake a week ago. Now for the fun; the other day when I started the car I noticed a light clicking sound,when idling. I did really hear it too long two min. tops. But when I left the house I drove up a slight hill and heard it again. Later in the day after the car got in some drive time I drove up that same hill no noise. The next mourning it was back again. What is up with my ride? And how can I fix this?

It's hard to tell without hearing it myself, but perhaps a valve might be sticking....

After speaking to an automotive tech instructer; he advised me to change my oil. When refilling the car substitute one quart of oil with ATF. He said doing this will make a higher detergent ratio in the engine and should loosen any sludge making the valve stick. After trying this NO MORE TICKING. Just thought the rest of you would like to know.

p.s. should only run this mix for at the most 500 miles, change the oil and add clean oil and new filter.
