HKS Evolution in-progress pics...

Hi. I decided to take somebody else's idea of a pink car and change it around to see what I would come up with; here's what I have so far
Paint: Pactra R/C Polycarbonate paint=Metallic Burgundy
Wheels: Aoshima ZEIT Ver.R 18" painted T.S. Light Gunmetal
Decals: Lau Bak with C.F wing decals from S.A.S. (thanks Chris!)
Wing: From the Kansai R-32 Skyline
Muffler: HKS Super Drager from Fujimi.

Dang, I really LOVE. I love the rims and the tires. It really looks nice. I really love the color too.

Those rims, do the yellow decals come with it ? and are they still available?

Also, I read you used the PC paints, right? And how do they compare to the regular paints? more shiny, harder to polish??? and do you put them on by using regular spray can over primer, or do you have to watch out for some details?

Thanks Olivier! The primer I used was Tamiya white, the PC paint went on smooth but dries flat so clearcoat (TS) was used to "help things along" :smile: . The yellow decals came with the wheels; I've had this set for about a year but Camber traded me another set of them. They can be found on ebay.

erm, it's called detailing...
untill you don't do that on your models, you ll still be left in modeling level one...
it's those details that make a model great...

I don't like those. I only do the ones around the window and the door lines. If you do the rest, I think that I looks kind of dumb.

Thank you guys! I'll have more pictures later (I have to be in a wedding today) I actually did the panel lines before I painted the body (a tip from Zoom-Zoom :wink: ) I think it worked out fine. I detailed the Fujimi brake discs with a Gundam marker. Al I have to do is add the wing and a few small details and it finished. The Skyline just needs the interior to be assembled and a few details painted; I promise! :p Take care!

I think it looks fantastic. I love the colour. For some reason I have a thing for pink Japanese cars :tongue: Maybe I have been looking at www.yashiofactory.co.jp too much. Can I ask where you got that HKS muffler and can we see a pic please?

It's a great looking piece, Tonio. Love the wheels and interior especially. I'm wondering, though, if we could get a front end view of this car soon? I'd like to see that deep-looking airdam head-on, though you can wait until you have the headlights in. :icesangel
