Dim headlight problem, can I wire it from the other instead ?

The car with this problem is a '98 sunfire. The right headlight is very dim and the wiring looks all great. So my question is, can I snip the cables and re-route them directly on the corresponding wires from the other headlight. Thanks alot !!

First thing I would do is just swap the headlights.
