2000 Tahoe - Accelerator Sticking

:frown: My accelerator is sticking sometimes. It normally happens when the accelerator hasn't been depressed for a while (like after parking it overnight or to go in a restaraunt, etc...). After the initial pressing, it operates like it should. I don't think that it is a problem with the pedal or cable, as I can rotate the throttle by hand on the engine, and it sticks there (only with the throttle in its resting position, this is the only place in the range of movement that it does stick). Has anyone seen this before? If so, how did you correct it?
Also, I need the handle/button that goes on the power seat control for up & down and back & forth, anyone know where I might get a new or used one?
Thanks,
Jason

Clean the throttle bore and that will fix your problem.
The throttle bore and plate get coked with a buildup that causes the plate to bind and makes it hard to press the accelerator pedal.

:eek7: Thanks for the reply GMMerlin. Could you suggest a good (thorough for the novice and reasonably priced) repair manual for this vehicle? I'm not very familiar with the interior of this area of the engine, and don't want to go poking around in there blind.
Thanks.
Thanks.
