Ok i can't figure it out, My car is offically being a P.O.S :flipa: :flipa: it refuses to idle at anything below 2500 rpm. I reset the timing according to the book and it still won't go down. Its set at 16* and the idle adjustment screw doesn't help much. I tried to reset the ECU by leaving the battery disconnected overnight but no luck. Does anybody have any useful tips or had any simliar problems that can help. Any suggestions or links or anything would be greatly appreciated:D .

Sounds like your throttle cable is too tight. While you're in there; clean the TB butterfly and check how much slack you have in the cable. I would say vacuum hose leak, but you didn't say anything about high idle and erractic idle. If this is the case, when you fix it you will have to re-adjust the idle screw. Also, triple check that you timed it right, although I never messed with the timing, I heard the SR20DE pulleys can be deceptive.

Go to se-r.net and go to site map and scroll down till you find stuff on idle. There is plenty-o-stuff on there about this subject. It could be caused from anything from wrong plugs to blocked sensors etc. Anyhow, sit down with a lot of time on your hands and look through the site plus the mail archives.
Hope this will help.

When I installed my pop charger there is some kind of throttle cable guide that I didn't tighten down so after a few months of driving it somehow worked its way into the throttle housing, causing my engine to rev at 3000rpm. Check the throttle cable first for sure I agree with nis.k.a.. Almost sure u'll find the cause here!

Ok we checked it out and you where right. My Cruise control cable was way to tight it was holding the throttle open. SO now that that is fix my starter diecided to get all goofy with me. I swear to god my car thinks its funny. One fricken problem after another. When i go to start the car i can here the statrter cranking but the motor doesn't. It sound like the starter is just spinning freely insteaded of cranking the motor so now i have to check out the statrter. As of right now i'm thinking about selling my G20 once i get it fix. ( even though i know once i fix it i'll like it again)  . My car just likes to be a bitch right now.

Sounds like the drive gear on the starter is not meshing with the flywheel/flexplate. Try firmly tapping the starter with the handle of a hammer or something similar - it may free up the sliding gear.
Your car is just crying out for some attention.:p :p

Open up that idle screw...maybe you need to get more air in there.
