Question about engine swap into Accord (NOT an H22a)

Alright, so I'm at work tonight, and, after talking with a guy who owns a Neon SRT (I can't believe those things come from the factory topping out at something like 14 psi boost pressure- that doesn't sound like it makes for a happy engine 60 or 70k miles down the road) I start brainstorming car ideas (it takes very little to set me off  ) Anyways, I was just wondering about the possibilities of putting something like the 6th gen V6 into a 5th gen EX. What would the stumbling blocks be? I figured possibly dimensions, and how the engine mounts into the bay. Besides that, wouldn't there be less issues as far as compatibility with wiring and whatnot(as compared to an H22) I mean, the base mechanics of the EX and V6 are still pretty much the same, right? And a V6 from an Accord would probably be easier found and possibly better priced, maybe...

It doesn't seem to be a very popular notion, so there are most likely some heavy setbacks involved, but I figured I'd just throw this out there.

Well. I just took a quick gander in the Haynes. That V6 is ALL MESSED UP. I've decided it would take some sort of act of god/a lot of money and hassle to make a swap like this work. Oh well, it was an interesting propostion.
See? This is what happens when you're sitting around at 2 in the a.m. with nothin to do but either post random crap, or attempt sleep in this current state of humidity New England is weathering (no pun intended :iceslolan )

If you were going to swap a different generation V6 anyway, you might as well attempt to make the 7th gen V6 work. Now that thing is a lot better than the previous ones!

Oh hell yeah :bigthumb: I just figured it would probably be a pretty pricey engine to get your hands on at this stage in the game. mmm.... 240hp 7th gen EX with its 6 speed tranny swapped into my 5th gen- the best stock Accord engine available, teamed with the best generation body design (in my opinion, at least.)

I'd have to agree with all of that. I love how the 5th gen looks. Of course, I'm going to be biases since it's the only car I've owned. It just looks perfect in my opinion.

I'm sure the new V6 would be quite costly on it's own...and I have no clue on how much room the whole thing takes up. But if I was going to do something as serious as swap an engine, I'd want it done right, and I'd want it to be the best available. For something as pricey as the swap, you should be able to save for just a bit more and get the best, ya know? That would be awesome to have that thing in there.

If you were gonna swap in any honda V6 engine, the best one out would be the 3.2 type s motor. again this is just dreaming but tha would be the engine to get if someone goes through all that trouble.
