we actually had a STORM!!! rain and all, for about 30 min... i thought the sky was falling, in little, wet chunks.... n e way, i got to test out my lightning taking ability with the new nikon.... what do u guys think?

Dude those are sweet photos, the wife and I set out on the back patio and watched the whole show from 83rd Ave and Tbird. You know you live in AZ when you have a block party just because it is storming and there is a chance of seeing some rain:bigthumb: No rain here (only sprinkles) but we saw some cool lighting and aquired at least a pound of dust in each eye.:biggrin:

Oh yeah, makes quite a mess of everything, pools turn green, and everything is coated with and eighth inch of superfine dust.

Wow, those are some amazing pics!
Are you just lengthening the time the aperture is open, or is the camera set up with some sort of flash-response trigger?
And those pics that John posted are crazy as hell too!
