First of all, yes i have done some searches, second i know this is suuuuuch a common post. Anyhow, nonetheless i will post once again. Im sorry if this gets annoying to some :) ------- Ello there. I have a 98impresa 2.5rs US spec. And I wish to install a 2.0 twin turbo legacy engine. Now..here lies the question...Other than the engine and ALL ENGINE components (for example throtle body, intake manifold..ECU, harness..etc.) what would be required for the installation? Would i need crossmember and other suspention parts? I'd like to know what else will pose a problem with the installation, if anyone is knowledgable in this swap/area. thanks alot, all POSSITIVE remarks appreciated. Hope to learn something.

ok with an engine swap the cost of the engine itself is ushualy less than 1 half of the total cost to swap. the cheeper your engine the lower the portion is going to be. estimate unless your prefroming a drop in swap about 4,000 just in additional parts and some labor(cant allways do it yourself) as far as an engine goes you looking at about 1,500 for that particular engine. so your looking at around 6500 total swap. you may not NEED to change your suspension parts or work on your clutch but if your going through the effort of swapping an engine esp if its for the pourpose of getting more power you seriously want to consider doing it. crossmember im not to certin about. you may you may not in alot of cases you can rig it to the stock crossmember but not allways. i dont know much of the diffrences in the 2.0 and the 2.5 so i cant tell you for sure.
