Sticking throttle???

Help! My car is idling at around 1200-1500 rpm sometimes. A little blip on the accelerator pedal usually brings it back down to around 700 rpm.
My car is a 1996 UK QX Maxima Auto. It seems to have started since I got the exhaust changed a couple of weeks ago (cat back) though I suspect this is unrelated.
Anyone have any ideas????:confused:
