It's been sitting for a few months, ran when it was parked, but not the best in the world. My dad bought it for me today, we hooked up a battery charger and tried to turn it over, and all we got was a weird buzzing noise, like a short somewhere in the ignition. We took the charger off, and got nothing. Put it back on, more buzzing. My brother-in-law thinks it's a bad voltage regulator, my mom thinks it's a bad relay. Anybody have any ideas?

Try boosting it with another car. Let the other car run with the cables hooked up for at least 5 minutes and then try starting it up. Depends what kind of charger you have, hooking it up to start the car will not do. If you are using the booster, charge it up for at least 4 hours or till the battery is charged up.

I tried leaving the charger on for a couple hours and went back down, and still, nothing. But when I opened the door, I noticed a couple field mice running across the floorboard. Could one of them have chewed through a wire in the ignition? I didn't think so at first, because I assumed that with a wire cut, it wouldn't work at all, but I'm probably wrong. Thanks for the advice though!
