my ex-girlfriend and i are still friends. Through her i met a couple other female friends. One night i had a dream that i was kissing one of them that they all think i like. If that wasn't weird enough and got me thinking, i then had a dream the following night that i was having sex with my ex-girlfriend. People say i don't think. Oh yes i do, after those two dreams i have thought more than i ever have. Sorry brain.

Can't say that I have. My wife does, but I don't remember dreams when I wake up and I've never been woken up by a dream (my own anyways - the wife has woken me a few times becaues of one).

Yep had that happen a few times. I've had them so real and violent that I have woken shaking, sweating, and out of breath as if I was running a marathon. It isn't pleasent to say the least either.

I'm not sure what you mean by "think"... But I have dreams all the time, and I think about them to see if I can find a link to reality in them...

For instance, one time, I was having a dream that I was fishing. I think I was on a boat, but might've been on a dock... anyways, I had two fishing poles, both had their lines in the water, and the lines got all tangled up, and I was really struggling to get them untangled and in my dream it was really stressing me out...

I'm not into fishing whatsoever, and I haven't been fishing since I was a junior in high-school (9 years ago). So I thought that maybe having the two fishing poles was some sort of metaphor for something in my life, and having the lines tangled up was also related.

At the time, I was dating/living with my girlfriend, but also had an "interest" on the side. I never cheated on my girlfriend, but I was definitely in love with this other girl, and we always talked on the phone and whatnot. My girlfriend was never aware of that, and I was always having to hide the fact from her. The other girl was also not aware that I had a girlfriend, so I had to hide things from her as well... Anyways, to make a long story short, I really felt like the two fishing poles represented the girls, and the lines represented the lies that I was telling, and having the lines tangled was the fear that I would slip up and either one or both of the girls would figure out what was really going on...

So, I didn't really learn anything from the dream, I don't really feel that there was a message there, just a warped reflection of the reality of my situation if that makes sense.

There's alot of dreams that I have over and over again. Not the same dreams, but similar themes. For instance I have ALOT of dreams about public bathrooms with no stalls or doors, or the bathrooms are really dirty, and I can't go although I need to... Anyways, I checked out this website, and there's some pretty good interpretations on there for various dreams:

I hate it when I have a frustrating dream. But it's only a dream right? so you start the dream over - and then you end up making the same mistake you made earlier - so you get fed up with that dream and start a completely different one. Anybody else do this?

I have it happen where I dream about something, then it replays itself in real life months to years down the road. A few were.

When I was 7 or 8 I had a dream that I was sitting in a big and unfamiliar class room taking a huge test. That whole scene replayed itself my sophomore year in high school.

When I was 5 I had a dream about being in a room with a wolf-like dog. It was laying in the corner and I was just standing there. When I was 13 that same dog (that came to our family when I was 7) was lying in a corner of a patient room at the vet's dying :(

When I was around 18 I dreamed that I was running around thru a convention center with a group of people checking out cool toys, then the scene switched over to me sitting at a table playing cards. Last year that played out in real life, it was me with Alex and other friends going to CES in Las Vegas.

I have them every now and then, mostly something happens now and I remember about dreaming it long ago. Sometimes its good, sometimes bad, but all real-life type stuff, not monsters chasing me down or anything like that :lol2:

I've had some pretty strange dreams...the one I can think of right now had me jumping off a high bridge into the water. When I hit the water I woke up breathless and my entire body ached all over. Was pretty fuckin' strange if you ask me.

Weirdest dream I ever had wasn't even really a dream...

This happens to alot of people, where right when you're falling asleep, you get the sensation that your falling, and you startle awake... Well, it was like that, but instead of feeling like I was falling, I had what I can only describe as a "vision", in wich someone was pointing a gun at me, and they pulled the trigger, hitting me in the abdomen... very weird, very unsettling...

Man I hate that but at the same time it's pretty cool, I remember one time I dreamt that I was paralyzed when I woke up(I had been sleeping in a chair and my legs were hanging over the side) and my legs were completely numb, and when I tried to walk I fell.

When I was dating Sera I had a disturbing dream which represented a period of my life in which she helped me, and i woke in a cold sweat, short of breath and sitting bolt upright, which I have NEVER DONE!!! And anyways, I checked the time, it was about 3am or something stupid, and I was living about 23hours of driving away from my girl. Well, she called me the second I layed down again and was terrified, she woke from a dream she was having and knew something was wrong with me... that scared the shit outta me.

I have had some pretty ghastly nightmares inmy time, but most of them can be rationally explained as a side-effect to prescription medication.

Thesedays I am just happy to get enough sleep for a dream.
