I saw this ad in the back of Super Street and they even have a money back gauruntee. There weren't any pictures or explanations of how it works, just a phone number to call for information. It said they're for "any car" so it has to be some bogus piece of crap. Does anybody have a website or pictures of these things???

Is the phone number toll-free?

I don't remember, and the magazine's at home right now. I'll check over lunch. I posted this same question on another forum and this was a reply I got:

Yeah, they had a similar turbo thing a while back and the thing can only push a pound or so.

They are useless and I wouldn't buy them.

I wasn't going to buy one, I was just wondering what the hell kind of supercharger could add 35hp for $70...

I have always suspected that companies claims of HP figures are probably based off super modded engines already. Like, an intake claiming 15 hp would have been tested on some race-prepared 1000 hp methane engine, or something. But on a 200hp engine, the gain would only be 2 hp. Its a proportional gain.
So the 35hp supercharger may only add 0.3 hp in normal operation. And this could be something so simple as an electric fan, or unpowered fan blades mounted in the air intake tract. I have heard about these "Spiral-inducing inserts" and "Powerchargers" before. They do nothing.

haha.. like the last post said...i know what your talking about...its the vortex or vornado thing that you stick in right before the intake manifold that supposedly swirls the air which lets it go in smoother with no disturbance or something like that...the shop that works on my car told me its true it helps with MPG and maybe a little pony gain but nothing much as of 35... they probably tested one of there better tests and claimed 35...haha
