I recently got my order in from HLJ. I order the Hasagawa 1/24 VW Type2 Microbus with the 23 windows. And when I opend up the box to check out the model, I noticed that every window has a scratch on it. The other parts trees were rubbing on the windows and they have a bunch a scratches all over. How do I go about getting this replaced, or does anyone know how I can fix it myself? Thanks for any suggestions.

How deep are the scraches?

Replace them all by Laserjet Transparencies sheet. Worked extremely well on my Lancer (which I broke the windshield and ruin the rear window)

The scraches are pretty deep, they are a white color around the edge of the scratch. The transparency idea is a great one...might have to give that a shot.

If they are that deep, you should just use the transparancys.

When I have a Spider or a Cabrio, that the only way to make decent windows, the thickness is way more real ! Take something that can stand on it's own, not a gage too soft though.

Maybe shops selling printer , ink catridges, special paper and stuff like that. Or a major bookstore or stationery shop.

Why not E-mail HLJ about it?
They may be able to replace the clear sprue or even the whole kit!
Was'nt the Revell release of this the 23 window version? And it's got better decals along with a much lower price...

I actually emailed HLJ and they replied and told me they would get in touch with hasagawa about the problem. But said it could take months to get the windows replaced. SUCKS. I didnt know Revell made a version of it...
