Hi,
My Dad still has my good digital camera, so I apologise for the crappy pictures, I'll get some better ones up in the next couple of days (tommorow I hope!)

Here's progress on the body (still has to have it's final coat of paint)

Here's chassis details so far (doesn't really show much due to crappy quality picture)

http://members.optusnet.com.au/cefiro/modelcars/r33/Untitled-6.jpg

I'm going to be finishing off the interior and chassis tommorow, as well as putting the final coat on the body if I have time. Once this is done I will finish up the body details and get final pictures up. Stay tuned!

I was intending on using 19inch Work Equips, however, I don't want to convert them to male (this model uses male wheels) so I'm using the 18" Volk Racing wheels which came with it. However, I'm painting them a custom black colour which has some titanium gold, chrome silver and copper mixed into it (just enough to take the flat black colour off it)

I may go paint them now - Pics in a little while! :)

It's an Aoshima kit.

Here's a small update with the new wheels and some more chassis progress (It's 5:22am here, I've been up all night - I think I got a bit carried away  ) The crap quality pictures don't do any justice though I assure you it looks alot better when you can see things clearly!

Alright I'm off to class. When I return I'm going to put the final coat on the body, finish off the interior and that may be all for today. After this I have decals for down the doors, a front mount intercooler to put in, as well as the other body details to finish off and she's done :)
Fingers crossed for completion within 24-48 hours.

I'm dissapointed that my Modelling Wax still hasn't come into stock at HLJ. They don't sell it in my country so it's the only way I'm going to get any :(
So the car will only be 99% finished until i get wax to shine up the paint....

Should be stunning when finished:cool:
You could always convert the wheel/car like I did on the Purple R32 in my signature.
Looking forward to those better pics when finished:wink:

Nice rims. Nice model. Nice job.:bigthumb:

Those rims came with the kit, right??

Got 1 question:

Is it all the skyline chasis paint with the body color??
I saw some pictures on real skyline but they are all black. Or it just cover by dirt and dust on the road.

Thx.

Well I've just been down to the hobby shop, Bought extra paint I needed, etc, and what do ya know, It's raining! Which means I'll have to put the final body coat off until it's sunny. I'll finish everything else off though and get pics

thanks all for the comments!!

Most are painted a similar colour in undercoat (in real life)
I chose to paint mine yellow this time as I wanted to make a detailed underbody for once. Those rims came with the kit too, correct. :)

Quick Update. Incase you're wondering why it's taking so long -- I made a huge mistake on the painting of the window surrounds (I shoulda sprayed it!!) and am in the process of making the best of what I can. This model isn't gonna turn out very good but the mistakes will only show up to those who are picky (I'm not really gonna notice when It's sitting on my cabinet)

Here's what the body currently looks like minus a few clear bits. The paintjob sucks, and things just keep getting worse. I'll complete it anyway, learn from my mistakes and hope my next model turns out better.....
