2000 Blazer ZR2, 60,000 miles....My lock switches on the interior door panel stopped working. At the same time, my mirrors and lift gate stopped working. I can lock/unlock door using key fob. I know that the actual locks work. Using a test light, the switches are still good. Can not move mirrors. None of the buttons to open lift gate are working, the dash, "tailgate", nor the one on the key fob. (is there an emergency latch that I don't know about?) I am lost. Talked to chevy and they suggested the BCM. I have a 2000 S-10 similiarly equipted. I was wondering if I could switch the BCM's out as a reliable test? Or, would I spend to much time trying to reprogram stuff to make it worth my while? I am comfortable working on my vehicles no matter what the project, cutting, welding, fabbing, replacing, rebuilding, anything (I am a hardcore Jeeper by heart). I am just not sure what all is connected to the BCM and what precautions should be made before pulling the plug on it. I am actually hoping that I can find a solution without having to tear my electrical system apart. Any suggestions, thoughts, laughs, or sympathy would greatly be appreciated.

I own a 2000 Blazer Ls.I have called the Gm service dept. The asked for both vin # to clarify which bcm should go with which option package. The service dept wanted me to buy another bcm because they couldnt program my current bcm to accept an RKE module. The problem i had was with installing the keyless remote entry RKE and Bcm from a vehicle with Keyless entry to a non Factory one.Blackyj does your blazer have keyless if so what is your bcm part number and location on the blazer.

Had the same problem. there are 2 fuses to check. The fuse panel on the drivers side of the dash has one. The other one is under the hood in the fuse box. It is a 3 amp fuse. Hopes this helps. It fixed mine.
