I first laced on the skates the winter of 74. Been playing hockey at every opportunity since.

I used to skate, multiple knee injuries stop me skating anymore.

I used to board untill i had to go in for surgery.. havn't got back on since

which is too much of a sell-out sport now every kid that picks up a board thinks he is gonna be the next Tony Hawk or Rodney Mullen.

Oh. I always thought skate boarding was pretty lame, but I guess its something for people with minimal balance :biggrin2:

i HATE people who calling it "sk8ing". say the fucking word!

anyways, i used to "sk8" (:rolleyes: ) until a year and a half ago, when i tried to kickflip down a 5 set of concrete stairs, hit a crack in the concrete, fell and cracked my left knee-cap pretty much in half. i was pretty good, but i had to quit after that. i still snowboard though.

I sk8board, been doin it since i was 10, 7 years now. I ride element Bam Margera board, Grind king Trucks, speed demon bearrings and element wheels, my favorite sk8ters are rodney mullen ( best street sk8ter EVER) and tony hawk. but im out as of now, sprained ankle, tried to do a kickflip to 5-0 but didnt work.

SKATER!!! SKATER!!!! SKATEBOARD!!! is it that much harder to type an a instead of an 8??

even if you DO say "sk8er" at least say THAT right, WITHOUT the T! when you say "sk8ter" with the t, that's the same as "skate-ter". since when has that been a word?

anyways, Mullen is my fave skater because he can do almost anything with a board. other faves include Eric Koston, Moses Itkonen, Rick McCrank, Arto Saari and Jamie Thomas. Tony Hawk sold out.

He used to skate with Tony Hawk back when the Powell Peralta crew was where it was at.

LMAO At S_13 Iketani's SKATE rant. I never SKATED but I was biking for a while, that got too expensive to fix, but I'm still very loyal to the hills in the winter. If you thought Skating injuries were bad (and they are, I've seen some real ouch ones) Snowboarding can be just as bad if not worse, just cause snow is white and fluffy dosen't mean it's soft.

skated until i was the age of 16 when i got a license...then came the car......end of story.
