2001 Pathfinder A/C problem

I've got a '01 Pathfinder SE with 47K 2WD and auto trans. I have no control over the fan speed and which vent the air blows from. I have the air in manual mode and have the dash vent selected. However, it blows out the defogger and heater vents. The temperature controls still work. In "auto " mode, I have the same problem. Naturally the fan won't be adjustable, but the vent control should be, (but isn't). Anyone seen this problem? Any help would be appreciated.
