Condensation in tail light.

Ok heres the deal. I had a accident and all it did was scratch my rear bumper, rip off my si lip, and bust my drivers side tail light. So I opted for some carbon fiber euros. Yes I know you all think they are rice. But I think they look good, just got to get my old center piece painted. Anyways, I washed my car and now there is condensation in my drivers side tail. I can't figure out how it got in. It was probably like 1/2 inch of water that had collected over about 2 weeks. I like moved it all around and I can't find any way for it to get in. What's the deal? Also where can I get some stock color paint to paint my center piece. I have a 91 Si. with that flame red looking color. Do they make this color in a can?

The water gets in between the light casing and the lens. The epoxy between the casing and seal is cheap and is prone to leaking. Most of the altezza and euro tailights have this problem.

my centre panel has condensation but not my lights, how about if u drill a small hole on the INSIDE of the light to allow the light to breath and let out the condensation

or put silicone around where the lense meets the casing.

I had this EXACT problem...

The foam seal that goes between the light and the car is to blame... In my case a wire was umbetween the foam and the car opening up a little gap.

I then fixed theis by moving the wire and then put silicon between the foam and the panel as the actual light bites into the foam rather well.


Hasnt leaked since.

Great, now I went out there just a little bit ago and there is some in my center piece.

I did this with my old GL and never looked back. It was that or put a plastic duck in there to float around as the water levels got quite high in the rainy weather.
