Ok, here is the lowdown.....
Initial D (or iD as some call it) is based on a series of manga cartoons, started as a comic then went onto the screen. It was then released as a game, version one has been aroudn for ages but version 2 is a hell of a lot better with more tracks and cars etc.
Its an arcade game thats very popular, you buy a car and its like a memory card on a playstaion, it saves your cars data and you can do it up.
Hope that answers your question :)

There is only one game that is availible for platforms and that is
Initial D: Special Stage
It was only realeased in Japan, but go to your local Chinatown, or a high density asian population, and ifnd a video game sotre, ask them if they have it, if they do there ya go, if they don't ask them to order it and most often they will. I got it for $15 canadian. But my bro took it to his hosue so i don't play very often anymore.
Be careful with the arcade game tho, it'll put a hole in your wallet, very addictive.

The other game they have over here which is cool is MIDNIGHT WANGAN, or something like that. its also on the Japanese PS2 but they have another version of it with out the stories and dramanga its called Tokyo Xtreme racer (2, zero) The Initial D one rocks in the arcade. But I still think An R32 GTR could whoop a Lan Evos ass anyday especially in a straight away

There is a game for Initial D.
One is Initial D Arcade Stage which machines located in the arcade.
The other one is Initial D Special Stage. It is run on PS2 and the game is slightly different.
Just a gentle reminder, Initial D Arcade Stage burns pocket. Becareful. :naughty:
