I have a 1992 Honda Civic DX and I've swapped in a 93 Prelude H23A1. I've got what seems to be everything wired in correctly. The cars running really good. My problem is with the transmission. I have an automatic. I'm using the automatic tranny from the prelude. I've tried to use the civic shifter / shifter linkage cable. I've tried to use the prelude shifter / shifter linkage cable. Neither seem to work correctly. I have no 1st gear. I can put it in 2nd, 3rd and Drive, Reverse and even Park but no 1st. If I put it in Drive it will shift fine, but start in 2nd gear. I noticed the cable that goes from the tranny to the shifter itself differ in length between the two and they have different length brackets that go into the tranny end. Do I need another tranny or cable or something? Everything I see is about Manual trannys. I can't seem to find anything that isn't on the 5spd dealing with the H23A1. I hope someone can help shed some light. This has been a long hard process. Thanks in advance!!
