trying to sell my se

this guy that goes to my school is about to get his license, and he tells me he wants to buy a civic, he wants something under 4k and it needs to run. i tell him that my car is for sale, and it'll smoke a civic, i offered him 2500, and i think he wants to take it. i take him out for a test drive, he can't drive a stick, and our other friend is followin us in a camry(4cyl). we pull over and i tell the guy in the camry to floor it, then i floor it, i pass him at sometime right before second gear, and the guy who wants to buy the car starts going crazy. i only paid 2k for it and i don't think im ripping him off. its got 226k on the odometer, and runs fine, all it needs is new speakers.

btw, i wanna upgrade to the next gen. my dad wants to compensate for the time he lost with me (long story) and my mom is gonna put in as much as he does, so im thinking like 6 g's total, defintely se, and definitely manual, what do you think i can get?

i just traded my 95 in to a dealership and the bastards only gave me 3 grand. they wanted to give me 2500 but when i told him i was hoping to take my new car home that day, but wanted to try to get more money privatey first he said he could give me 3000.

you could probably get like a 96 or 97. with hopefully like 75-80k miles.

damn were you really in need of selling your max off, i think im just gonna wait by some dealership, and make offers to people who are trying to trade in their cars, i know dealers rip you off on trade-ins, but i would think that he would go for atleast four

the guy kinda tricked me. i just intended to look at the car and decide yes or no, then come back. the dude said he had someone else coming to look at the same car, which i thought was a line. so after i drove it around for a bit and we worked out a price i said i would take it. but only after i tried to get more money for my car. and he said that i could drive the car home that day and he'd give me 3K for my car. the impatient little kid in me came up and i said ok. and 2 minutes after that, some big black dude and his girlfriend/wifey were standing around my newly purchased car and i saw the guy walk up to them say something briefly and they left. he came back saying that was the dude who was gonna look at it.

all my friends were on my case about getting rid of the car so cheap but fuck all of them cuz when i asked if they wanted to buy my car they all said no or offered me some bullshit. and 3 grand froma dealership on a trade in ain't bad cuz they don't tax you on the car you're trading in as long as you're buying a new one from them. so instead of getting taxed on 20,000 which is what i paid for the new car they only charged me tax on 17,000 which saved me about $1200 in taxes which i can just put toward a few months car payments, so their 3 grand was about as good as 4.
the shittiest part is that it was so on the spot i didn't have the time or tools to take out my intake, y pipe, or cat-back or my kenwood deck. i did get my subs though. i'm prety damn sure the intake would have fit right in my new car, and the cat-back too probably. and i still have a y pipe for a 4th gen cuz budget accidentally sent me a freebie.

i wish i could have kept the old max too. i swear i would take ride in that bitch right now. the 02's performanc is a good deal better than a 4th gen but 4th gen style is definitely more a sleeper/sportscar look. i think a 4th gen maxima is one of the best looking nissans ever, short of a skyline.
