Idle problem

Quesiton: When my car is at a complete stop the idle drops and then dies. However, when the car is running fine and I take off the idle gets stuck at high RPM. :bloated: !!!!!!

I am not sure what would cause the throttle to stick like that other then something being jamed up in there. Take a look around http://www.stealth316.com/ and see if there are some answers in there you can use. Good luck.

Same thing happened to me not to long ago. Sounds to me you need a new speed idle control.

My car used to do this until I figured out that the waste gate in the fuel injector was tightened all the way down so I backed the screw off just a little bit and it hasn't died since.
