My ZC is throwing a code 8. I know it means Top Dead Center position but what do I do about it? Does it mean that sensor is bad or something?

First reset ECU then start engine & check for re-code. If light does not come on then your good. Start by checking ALL connections/clips. Distributor or TDC sensor could be bad.

check your timing also.

reset it and it returns. Im leaning towards my timing being off as crxlvr said.

It would be nice for you if it was just the timing. I'm leaning towards dizzy replacement!

Im getting a code 12 (exhaust gas resirculation system) how do you fix that.

1st reset ECU & check for re-code
Mostly likely the EGR system has a problem if code 12.
It could be loose connection(S)
Cracked hose
EGR valve
EGR solenoid valve
CVC valve
ECU
Im guessing its the egr valve - damn CA emmisions!
If you have access to a vacuum pump gauge, you could test the egr valve. Warm engine then disconnect egr valve hose. Connect vacuum pump to egr valve & apply vacuum. If the engine stalls or fails to hold vacuum, then its for sure the EGR valve

I'd be really pissed if I had to replace the dizzy because I just got the one thats in there (its used though) and it cost me almost $100. 88/89 integra dizzy's are suprisingly hard to find.
