I started out doing cars for the local dirt track drivers way back in the seventies and now my brother is doing the same thing. Together we span the time from the "hull'em out and go racing" era to the very high-tech hand crafted purpose-built cars of today. I thought you might enjoy looking over some of his models that go from the junker era to the "cubic money" racers. All are handlettered and most are custom vacuformed bodies done on a special two stage vacuform that he built. On many of them, hand cast wheels and tires round out the package. Hope you enjoy them.

I guess the years spent around racing and looking at pictures of real race cars helped develop an "eye" for the "look" on the photos. In the case of my brother's builds, the same holds true plus he's just really good at what he does. We've both been at it for over thirty five years so I guess we should have gotten pretty good at or just quit. LOL

There are some resin repops out there of modifieds, mostly from the MPC kits. THe MPCs are still found on ebay but some are pretty pricey, there is an AMT ealry 70s Duster and a 6? Skylark, and numerous stock car kits of all vintages that would with some scratch building would work great! And I am sure I have missed some.
