God doesn't want me to drive (fuel rail bolt problem)

i've learned something today, don't use a fuckin torque wrench on the nuts holding the fuel rail on: it'll break the bolts... i was wanting to be perfect and my chilton said 9 ft-lbs, so instead of just going slightly past hand tightening, i decided to use the torque wrench to be exact... i have no earhtly clue why it didn't work, but it didn't work, i broke the center bolt ... well dumbass me, instead of stopping there and HOPEFULLY saving my intake manifold (b/c i don't think you can put new bolts in it), i decided to try again on another one, the driver's side. happened again. so yeah, i need help

can i replace hte bolts that come from the intake manifold for the fuel rail to bolt onto? or do i need to replace the intake manifold.

if i do need to replace, what intake manifolds can i use other than d16a6, b/c there aren't alot of those floating around where i live...

the book prolly said 9 inch/lbs and not 9 foot/lbs, thats prolly why you broke it.

my dad says i can take them out with some special tool, any idea what he's talkin about?

your dad is talking about an easy out ... my friend broke his shit off in his skunk2 manifold so i feel your pain ... luckily my dad is friends with a machinist.

Its probably just a stud, you cant take it out with a stud remover.

this thread reminds me of my damn mtn bike ... cant ride the thing till i find the new pivot i have for it ... and i have no idea where it is ... taken my entire room apart lookin for it.

ok i went to o-reilly's and they gave me a 5/64'' drill bit and a 3/32'' drill bit, and told me to first drill into the center of the bolt with the 5/64 then with the 3/32 and tap in a #1 screw extractor. then use vice grips and slowly turn the screw out. i'm also gonna use some break away spray or something to help it out.
question tho, the #1 says to use it with a 5/64, but the o-rielly guy said to use it with the 3/32, which should i do?

kinda o/t, but if i have to buy a new intake manifold, i may upgrade. i read on another forum that 96-00 EX intake manifolds are the best for D Series (they called them the Type R of manifolds) b/c its bigger all around. will this bolt up to an a6 head?

well i tried with it this morning. i drill a hole in it and used the screwq extractor but it wouldn't budge. and i'm afraid to do anything that would make it worse. so i'm afraid i have ot wait until tomorrow (friggin sundays) and take it to a shop... unless i can find a cheap Z6 or even better a Y8 manifold

i did the exact same thing on my d16z6. I just used a pair of vice grips and clamped onto the remaining part of the stud very tight and unscrewed it out.
