 My service engine soon light came on several days ago. This was after returning from a trip to Colorado pulling a trailer. The Suburban runs fine - no problems with starting nor running. I have approx. 20,000 miles on it. I called the dealer and he stated it is likely a plugged fuel filter and needs replacement along with an "induction service" - about $200. I question this and had the code pulled at an AutoZone. His analyzer could not pull the actual code, but stated "CTK - slow response bank 2, position 1" or something similar. I went to a book store and found a code book, but must have been out of date as it talked about a different type connector.
Question - is there a simple way to pull the actual code (jumpering the connector?) and is there readily available code descriptions, once the code is pulled. Is there a way to reset the code on this model?
Thanks for any help - I want to be properly informed before going to the dealer!

Slow response Bank2 position1 means that there is a problem with the right side engine monitoring heated O2 sensor.
your vehicle is still under GM factory warranty 3yr/36000 miles.
Any repair for the SES light should be repaired at no charge to you.
As far as a fuel filter and induction service, check your owners manual for service intervals. You should have your fuel filter replaced about every 30000 miles.
To pull the actual code and reset the light, you will need a Tech 2 or other compatible scan tool....dont go looking for one...they start at 2500
