Oops wrong forum previously !
Arrived today from HJL - going to be pretty much straight from the box -except for small alterations like opening grilles out & new gas cap.
Colour will be candy orange with black & orange interior. Wheels will be this size but rims are set aside for Civic coupe - currently waiting on a few wheel & tyre sets from HLJ.
I actually like it better with the hardtop.
Any comments welcomed

I like the Blitz version (also the VeilSide version), the wheels suit the car well.

I've tried a couple but I'm leaning towards building it without one

Paint disaster!:frown:
I put too many coats on too quickly trying to build up the depth of colour and have ended up with the attached mess. The paint solvents must be quite hot cause it seems to have reacted and crazed - nothing for it but to try and flat it all down. Next time I think I use an orange basecoat (as opposed to silver) so hopefully it'll need less coats.
Ah well live & learn

That sucks, sorry for you :frown: ... Which primer do you use?

Just what I normally use which is Halfords acyrlic - its funny I used exactly the same paint for the candy red civic and that came out ok - I think I was too impatient and put too many coats on without giving each one time to gas out properly or perhaps thinned the paint down too much.
Not to worry I think its salvagable - just a pain having to start again.

Not sure if this counts as progress as I'm back to where I was last weekend !. After a session with brake fluid all the old paint has been stripped and I've resprayed it this afternoon-still needs lacquering.http://
2 choices of rims-not sure which ones to go with but favouring the first set at the moment

The orange is awesome. As for the wheels I favor the second pic.
Looks like it is coming along even with the paint problem!

Just a couple of shots of the body after clearcoat and polishing - a bit better than my 1st attempt (pictures not the best as its dark outside)

Andy, that MR-S looks awesome. I wish I could buy that kind of paint so easily here.

Been a while since I posted any progress on the above as it's been on the back burner. Here's where I am currently - not too much left to do except a few little things like mirrors, windscreen wipers, exhaust, clean out all the panel lines and give it a good wax.Spent most of the afternoon trying to fit the windscreen as the glueing surfaces are very small :banghead: - had to resort to CA glue in the end.
Hope to post a completed thread soon
Cheers
