68' mustang fastback

HEY all my name is Rich and im from New Jersey.....im currently 17 and lookin for a car.....im thinking about a classic....mustang fastback to be exact.....i was just wondering if anyone on here has restored one, or if you have what problems could i face....i have helped my uncle restore a Mg Bg with a rover v8 in it and helped him also do a v8 in a s-10....so i know a little about body work and stuff........i heard that fastbacks are rare....is that true??? i hope i could find one....:frown: :frown: . Thanks for you help and advice.

fastbacks good cars, i have a 67 coupe which i'm restoreing as we speak. the fastback weighs about 100 pounds more then a coupe and will set you back a couple of thousand more. and about the restoring, the only real hard part for me is the money, you need a bit of it. and by a bit i mean a lot...

yes, fastbacks are rare. I own one, my mom owns one, and my brother has one. They are more expensive then coupes and parts might be the same price as coupes though. Unless, you get a GT or something. If you get a fastback, what ever you do, don't get the back window busted out.
