i have a 95 gsr with 160,000 miles and decided i want to go supercharged but i dont know much about it. i want to buy the jrsc and put the 12psi kit on it but i dont know what i have to do to do it. do i lower the compression or can i raise it and still be safe to like 11:1 or just put forged piston with stock compression?? i want to port polish the head and put like skunk2 stage 2 cams valves retainers but dont know much about like whats listed up top do i change the rods or can i go stock so just anything will help thanks

ok, a few things are wrong in your thread, 11:1 and 12 pounds of boost wont work well at all, and you dont want those cams cuz the duration is too long and youll have valve overlap and lose some of the boost you spent all that money on. get turbo cams, high lift but short duration. and about the JRSC i am giuessing many people will reccomend you go with vortech or another company, Ive never used any of them but never hear goodthings of JRSC on this board.
and for 12 psi I would lower the cr a bit maybe and about the rods I would get some crower rods

i knew i wouldnt be able to go 11:1 i was just using it as an example so you would lower it to like 9:5:1 or 9:1 and i didnt know that it would need turbo cams i heard nothing good about vortech like all the power is pretty much at redline i like jrsc better and vortech is a sequential supercharger and you would have to tune it like a turbo. i want good amount of power i want to get around 250 hp so im thinking that 12psi would do it. so if anyone has used a supercharger and has some info help me out tell me about the kit i heard on the stock motor it will create 208 at 6psi so i want to know if 12psi would hit 250 or more thanks or how much can i boost on my stock motor like 8 psi

well, you dont need turbo cams but the VTCE already has valve overlap and stage 2 cams are just gonna hae more overlap.
