Straight out of the camera and no tricks.

Here's one of my "ol' redneck race cars" with no retouching or photo chop at all. Just my model and my 24" shop and the little diecast Coke machine. Ya'll drop in sometime. The door is always open, you guys are always welcome and the little 6 1/2 ounce Cokes are ice cold.

Luke, got a question for ya bud:

How do you get such realistic looking windows? Windows and chrome seem to be the biggest tells as to a pic being of a model or not. Seems it has to be either super shiny or pretty dull to look real - anything in between looks like a model.

Serindipaty(the art of the happy accident) I guess. An awful lot of my stuff is built from thirty to forty year old kits and the age of the parts just seem to lend a softer patina to the chrome and the clear parts. The ingredients of my models are usually "aged to perfection", just an offshoot of the moonlight brewing talents I guess, LOL

No offence taken, I think we've established that we're all gearheads and plastic junkys here which makes us kindred spirits. That's the new shop and the "hardware" hasn't been installed yet. (good a lie as any, I guess. LOL) Here's a pic of the old shop with the door knob made of an aircleaner from a Revell '56 Chevy and the deadlock made from the ejector pins on the chrome tree from the same kit. You can't see it with the door opened but the toll up door handle was made from the rear view mirror of the same kit. The scene inside the open door is a photo of the inside of my real shop when I was working on my '64 Galaxie with my Cub Cadet mower in the shot just placed in the opening.
