more mpfi conversion questions

I read somewhere on here that I need a new fuel pump for mpfi is this true?
Would it be easier to use a dx harness taht is already converted for mpfi or would it be easier to jsut get and si one and convert my stock one?
Would an aftermarket fuel rail help at all or would I be ok using the stock si one?

its easier to use the DX harness. even if you used the Si harness, you would still have to run wires from the harness back to the ECU. If changing the Si harness, you would have to swap over the ENTIRE harness from headlights to tailights.

Also, no new fuel pump is needed.
