Hell yeh it is. I myself have a apex-i N1 but the only problem is that I paid $500. Thats one hell of a deal. Do you see if their was any cracks or holes on the back of the exhuast? I think thats it sound the best compared to other's

500?!!!! for just the muffler?! I don't think so buddy.
Ok, 500 for the whole cat back?!
:walks away with the "I'm feeling better about my $409 APEX'i World Sport cat back" award:
Attencion! prepare to annoy people with that muffler or cat back system.

yeah the N-1 is loud, the worldsport is nice and quiet, and ANY muffler, unless it is made out of gold cost 500 for just the muffler and no piping.

again, i don't think so. A generic muffler like a lot of people have doesn't cost more than 150. But they're useless anyway except for sound. I was at a local shop last week looking to buy a Apex'i world sport and they didn't have the whole cat back in stock, as i was walking out i saw that they had an n-1 muffler for 300. I'm not paying 300 for a muffler, let alone 500. So i went to a different shop that quoted me on a world sport cat back for 409. Granted the n-1 is a little more expensive because i heard i puts out more, but still, 500 for a muffler?! where do you shop?

wait i'm not done yet...maybe i'm missing something here.....
1. he payed $70 for the muffler.
2. michaelsd16c say that he payed 500 for the cat back
3. michaelsd16c also says that you will pay 500 for just the muffler.
4. swonder says that ANY muffler cost 500
5. I bought a muffler about a year and a half ago for 150 (proving #4 wrong)
6. I then bought a apex'i cat back for $409 last week.
I was then quoted on the n-1 cat back for $510, so that price i can agree on you paying. But seeing how that is too much for me, and that i didn't know what the difference between the n-1 and WS were, i went back and asked about the World Sport, $440. Testing another store in the neighborhood (thanks matt), i got the same thing for $409 and they got it in their store the next day.
swonder's muffler with no piping = 500
michael's cat back = 500
Blown's muffler = $70 and time to wait for it
David's cat back = $410 and almost no waiting.

no no no, I said NO WAY does JUST a muffler cost 500 dollars... More like 100-200... Mikey says he got his N-1 for 500, but I said for 500 it was a cat back, the muffler alone shouldn't be more than 200 alone.

i beg to differ.
Also, only 70 bucks? I'd look into that.

Alright, I'll admit I am wrong when you SHOW me a universal muffler that costs 500 dollars. Send me links to websites
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/racinglab/apunmu.html $229
http://www.nipponracing.com/apexi_n1_turbo_silver_universal_moreinfo.html $209
http://www.auto-xtreme.com/apn1unmu.html $229
http://www.streetbombz.com/apexi 239
And 289 was the most expensive I have seen on my quick search. Alot of mufflers I saw for universal mufflers was 100 or so. Why pay 500 dollars for a muffler, when you can get all piping and hangers for a little bit more?

no dude, you wrote that "any muffler unless it is made out of gold cost $500." So gold mufflers (lol) would cost like 2000, but normal mufflers cost 500? Then you just proved yourself wrong by those four examples. Which is it?

woops, I read my post again, My bad, What I meant to say was any universal muffler should NOT cost 500, cuz Mikey said "even just a muffler is 500"

ok then it's mikey's quote i have a problem with now.
no muffler cost 500. Whole cat back systems can cost that much. To answer the guys original question; i don't think that a muffler will do anything. I had some generic muffler on and all it did was make a different sound. Using that muffler and some custom piping from the local muffler shop should do pretty good. But still, the 70 bucks seems a little fishy to me.

Just to clear some stuff up, the Mugen twin-loop exhaust (muffler only available in the US) costs $500 from InlineFour and King Motorsports. ;) It's not made outta gold either. :p But it is damn expensive, but it sounds as nice if not nicer then the A'Pexi WS, and just as quiet too!

The muffler is from a real company selling there stuff on EBAY so I dont think it is a rip off...And it isn't a generic muffler it is an apexi n1 style muffler

You wanna see how low the N1 sits? :)

Damn, your resonator sits quite low as well. Mine is the lowest point on my car, and i have the WS exhaust. It's always scraping on bumps and steep ramps. :(

you got a picture from the rear?
and would the mugen twin-loop have any effect without some custom piping?
