"WaterCar Inc. announces its successful completion of their first prototype high performance amphibious vehicle capable of going speeds of 100+ MPH on land and 35+ MPH on water.
The fiberglass amphibious vehicle is based on a 2002
Convertible Camero body style. It is powered by a rear mounted high
performance 2.5 liter engine capable of producing 300 H.P. along with a
Berkeley jet drive and place diverter. Its' four-wheel independent
suspension retracts by a single switch for the water mode operation. The center-mounted removable ski pole along with the wake it creates make it ideal for wakeboarding or skiing. This sporty four-seater makes it possible to drive to the lake, experience an exhilarating boat ride and
drive back home again without ever leaving your car.
WaterCar, Inc. is looking into the feasibility of producing the
car in kit form."

They're not my pics, and I'm not at home, don't have photoshop, paintshop, paint, or most importantly, the WILL to do it, lol. So 56ghey beware, and I'll delete this post once it's a little old, so as to give some space back to AF.

But if you want to do it, I'll gladly put up your smaller pics in place of my big ones, hehe.:bigthumb:

Like it that were true, there ain't no way something going only 35 MPH in the water is going to create that big of a rooster tail....

No? It's 100% true. A good friend of mine has seen the thing in person, albeit not on the water. Those pics were taken on Lake Havasu, AZ. The boat is pretty much designed for wakeboarding, and 35mph on the water is FAST(when compared to 35mph on the street, anyways).

There has been so many pictures of stuff like that taken in front of London Bridge in LHC, AZ. Awesomke looking carboat though.

Oh ya, that bridge for those you don't know, was the London Bridge, taken apart numbered and shipped over to Lake Havasu City, it's pretty impressive.

Camaro??? Looks like Chrysler Sebring headllights to me. It's a very interesting little piece.

You know...the WRC Subaru Imprezas are waterproof too. You can leave them underwater for an hour and they'll start right up

Sad that someone actually had that much money to go waste on something like that...

That's pretty cool, and wakeboarding behind that thing would be soooo fun!

And about the 35mph on water.. yeah that's pretty damn fast, esp. for something that is built to be on land. The old amphibious cars were slow as crap on land and water. Go but on a pair of rollerblades and grab the back of a truck. Now let it accelerate to 35 mph. You'll probably just about shit your pants. 35 mph is about what a full tilt racehorse runs. If you've ever seen someone fall off a horse, you know it's pretty damn fast. Your average (read - AVERAGE) powerboat usually hits somewhere around 60mph.. on a good day...
