How I did it lets see...

Yes I made a jump and hit the ground perfectly but lost control around the corner hit the front brake flew off my bike smacked into the glass panel by then I was knocked out but apparently the guy behind me also lost conrtol and in a panic jumped off his bike in which ran over me hit the wall and fell on to my head.

But I only remember up to hitting the wall then waking up in a hospital.

:banghead:

Felt like an idiot

I sideswiped my buddy going head on doing about 60mph. It was hot and I didnt wear all of my gear that day ( boots and chest protector) and we were only going out for a quick ride. His handle bars broke my left arm and his foot peg sawed through my work boot and cut off my pinky toe and all of the bone and meat on that side of the foot. Also had the shifter go into the bottom of my foot and rip it open from the ball of the foot to my ankle.

I broke 4 ribs and my collar bone plus road rash and assorted bumps and bruises. Luckily i had a good helmet on, i slid so far, it ground the shell of the helmet to the styrofoam insert.

Then i went into shock and almost croaked in the helicopter on the way to the trauma center.

He only broke a finger and a toe, and he weighs about 135lbs soaking wet compared to my 200lbs.

That was in 1991 and I'm still riding.
That would definitely be my worst accident to date.

My worst crash was in a dunbuggy, Hit a tree about 6' off the ground. crushed rib cage multi scull fractures, all most blead to death. So I switched to motorcycles much safer. Only a idiot rides with out a helmet. dumbuggy who needs a helmet?

I thought I got it bad, I met the guy whos bike hit me, In a club to club comp.

He had his boot catch in his back wheel shattering his ankle, his handle broke off and stabbed him in the ribs and as he fell over his leathers nearly burnt of due to friction burn and his leg snapped and the bone ended up out of his leg and was internally bleeding but survived that. And his helmet fell into to pieces and he's glad he didn't damage his back. The accident was that lond ago and he still recovering and cannot ride for at least one more year.
OUCH :banghead:

Wow you guys had it really bad. My worest accident looks like a paper cut to you guys.
I was new at riding and i was on a mini track that allowed small atv's and I came out of a berm when a kid lost control of his atv and broadsided me. I flew off my bike and slid on my back for about 15 feet after flying for who knows how long. Lucky (praise the lord) Iwas wearing all of my gear. So my knees were only bruised and my back only had a gash in it. But if i wasn't wearing my gear especcially chest protector and my helmet I might have broke my back cause it was a long hard fall. Oh ya I was knocked out for about a minute or 2 i guess.

Holy crap, im glad ive never had an accident like you guys. This one time though i was riding around the land around my friend's private lake and because he has a lot of guests he has little cabins for them to stay in. Well, I was riding this prarie which is a huge quad and me and two other people were playing 'tag' on the machines (you get within 10 feet of the guy) , one guy was riding a raptor and the other was riding a little 80 dirtbike and i was riding alongside the cabins and the kid on the 80 was on the side of the cabin that would intersect me and i couldent see him and he couldent see me. So we saw he was probably going 20 and i was goin 30 and the milisecond we saw each other we grabbed the brakes harder then we had in our lives and came within inches of hitting each other and if it wasnt for both of us having really quick reflexes that prarie would of ran over that bike like it was nothing at all. Those utility quads have such advanced suspention systems now, its next to impossible to get it on two wheels, and i hit the brakes so hard it came close to flipping on one side. Oh and btw, neither of us were wearing helmets or any protective gear.

After 28 years, I have, on many occasions wiped out, come off sliding down a gravel road, collided with other bikes, high sided and once endoed (over the bars in the snow!!) The worst that ever happened was a bruise, and maybe the odd scrape
But then my friends accuse me of riding like a little old lady. I probably do, its a lot less painful that way.

Gruesome storys guys!! 3yrs ago I was racing my buddy up an access road along the railroad bed and doing about 75mph on my RM250 caught a support cable in the foot which almost cut my foot completly in two and snapped my ankle like a twig, I too left my riding boots and gear at home (Very Stupid) after losing pieces of bone and tissue I drove back to my house going into shock, after 2 transfusions and multiple surgerys I got to use crutches for almost a year with Pins and screws holding my foot together, my foot and ankle look normal again, Im back riding 03' LTZ400 *with proper gear*!

You see, I live in England, so i didnt have to pay medical bills, so it was easy for me to afford a new bike.
