Sorry for the dark pics but it's night time and our chandelier is 3 bulbs short. This el-cheapo snap kit has been staring at me for a while so I thought I'd dust it off and do something with it. Can you see where this is going? The windshield header bar is gone because I'm shortening the glass then making a new header bar.

This is how far I got tonight. I stared long and hard between all the ITR wings and like this one the most since it is as wide as the car. Or should I just form a lip at the edge and dump the wing? It's my little secret what's going under that rear engine cover -ooops- I mean backseat cover. Note the ant on the door, checking it out.

Next up is sculpting the rear deck with some back-of-the-head-aero-thingies (can't think of the name at the moment), rollbar hoops, and air ducts. The current flat aircraft carrier-look is boring.

More this weekend since I'll be out all day tomorrow. I've already got the finished idea in my head with this car and I hope I can pull it off. The idea that is, not my head.

edit - For those who don't know, here's what the car is supposed to look like.

Um, to me, the wing doesn't really suit the car. Maybe try the lip like you said or another wing that's more squared off.
Looks good so far:bigthumb:

Hey, it fits!

I knew that Testarossa kit would come in handy someday. The firewall behind the seats is a mockup made from a business card. I will trace it onto styrene and cut that out. I will cut out what's left of the original trunk and mold it onto the decklid so they can open in one piece.

The rear will have strut suspension for simplicity; I don't think there's room for a short/long arm setup in there. The front will be the stock kit suspension (i.e. nothing) but I'll add some details to make it look presentable since I will open up the hood. As an added bonus I will keep the kit's metal axles but make it hard for someone to point them out.

I'm going to ditch the stock Ferrari intake setup to something more wild-looking. The exhaust will come out the center, right below the bumper in a dual tailpipe layout.

Etc etc, of course none of this might happen since I change my mind often during a project.

I vote for you to follow through with this idea. That thing would be capable of some sick 1/4 mile times. :bigthumb: :iceslolan
