well first I wanna say hello, and I think all the versions of the car are bad @$$, but thats besides the point.

I read that many think the dealers will inflate the price, Nissan seems very determined to keep this affordable, do you think theyll let the dealers overcharge? I dont know if they even have control over what the dealers do, but that would kill it, I could maybe swing 31000, but I dont want a stripped model so if its base is 29000, I think 31000 should do me good. but if the base is closer to 34 with markup, then you just made the car expensive.

second question, is it really nescesary to preorder this thing? I mean is it like one of those thing where now you can feel safe that you will have the first one off the lot, or is it the kind of thing, order it now or you might have the option of Twin turbo when yours arrives?

well thats all I can think of for now, my dad sells different supplies to car manufacturers, so does anyone know what plant the Z is going to be produced at? if its coming out in july they must have the plant designated by now, if you can tell me my dad visits the assembly line and perhaps he could get some info which Id be glad to pass on to you all.

I must admit the Z was not in my mind when I set out to replace my faithful truck, I was mostly considering a used supra, then decided a new RSX-s would be good, then I saw the rx8 and now I find this. of them all this is the best looking, except maybe the supra, but thats just one cool car and toyota doesnt seem to be replacing it so I give up. though if the Z is hiked up in price or impossible to get and an RX8 comes out, I dont think that will help nissan, they shouldnt flood the market, but they also shouldnt make them so scarce your bidding on ebay just for the chance to pay 2x the sticker price.

ok well im guessing your talking about the 350z...this is the wrong forum but thats ok. the 350z/G35 has its own forum under Z cars.

i dont know quite what your asking but i will try and pick through some of the question marks.

the 350z i doubt will ever come in Twin Turbo form any time soon. they are working on Twin Turboing the VQ for the upcoming GTR in 2007 so i dont think you will have to worry about that...

as for dealers overcharging, i guess they can charge what ever they think they can get for the car. im sure nissan doesnt care as long as they get "their" money out of the deal....so say nissan wants $18k from the dealer. the dealer sells it for $40k, as long as nissan gets there $18k im sure they will be happy!!!

as for the Z compaing with the RX8, the RX8 is already out and (im guessing) sells are doing well but nissan's 350z sales are enormous...Z offers more power, better handling, and better aftermarket.

looks for base model Z's to be just under $30k and the top model Z;s to be just under $35k...yea you can pick up better deals and what not but that is a round-a-bout!!!

if you have any specific questions just ask!!!
