About a month ago my rims and tires were stolen off my car. Since then Ive replaced them and tried to just move on with my life. I was driving down a well known street and ahead of me was a car that didnt have its break-lights working. I decided to pull to the side to tell the driver that his bulbs were burned out. As i moved towards the lane next to him, i noticed MY RIMS AND TIRES on his car. I freaked out and pulled over hoping he didnt see me. I wrote down his license plate #, but im afraid to turn this into the cops in fear that they will come back and try to steal my new rims and tires. I dont know what to do i mean i dont think these people should get away with stealing but i dont want this to come back on me either. How ironic to see your stuff on someone elses car but its not fair. What would any of you do?

Get them bitches back. Of course you will probably need proof that they are yours but that shouldnt be too hard to come up with.

my advice is to be very careful......if you can prove that they are yours then bring the cops and take them back....

but under no circumstances try to take them back yourself.....you don't know what kind of criminals they are.....its not worth getting shot over some wheels

:iagree: too

Do not assume you are the only one out there with that kind of rim/tires. You better be damn sure those are yours and can prove it. If so, then call the pigs.

My Rays have a serial numbers on them... I have them recorded in my car records...

Otherwise i would scribe something (your initials, whatever) inside somewhere not visible, and take a digital picture of it..

Side note. Can't help finding it amusing that you are reccommending police action, yet insulting them at the same time.

If you are certain, zenongurl, the police should be able to help you. Were the rims insured? If so,you might like to pass the information on to your insurance company, and let them arrange for the police to recover them.Technically,if you received an insurance payout, the old rims will belong to the insurance co.anyway, and they might wipe your claim record if you help them to recover the stolen goods.

I don't think they're too smart. Most people who steal rims sell them to a tuner shop in another city. MAYBE...the person that stole the rims sold the wheels to a performance shop (like I said earlier) and the guy driving the car with your rims on it baught it from the shop and is innocent. :dunno:

Aren't you an accessory to the crime if you buy stolen property???

Or is is that you have to KNOW that you are buying stolen property, and then willing, AFTER KNOWING it's stolen buy it. THEN you become an accessory??

they were my rims, i know for sure because the dealership were i serviced my car at, placed a nice scratch on the passenger side back rim and also panther has not made that style in over a year and a half. Besides the car was a Bretta, basically my rims were worth more than the car itself. Im just afraid to involve the cops but i want revenge. I hate the fact that people think that they can get away with this kind of stuff, thats why in cali we have so much theft.

here's what you can do:

1. Find hard proof of them being your rims.
2. Go to the police with this proof and get your rims back.
3. Park your car inside a garage or something or get wheel locks.

If they are your wheels that means they are still your property, you just need to prove solidly that you purchased them.

I was thinking of traffic cops - pigs. Detectives are a bit better bread.
