ok here,s my deal alwayz been big on volkswagen but recently i decided 2 jump back on the honda flow again so after a couple of monthe of searching i picked up a 90 teg gs for 3000 canadian dollars now i neva really followed honda untill latelyi been trying to read up as much as i can on the b series engines , turbo,s frankensteins and i still am lost as hell i love torque especially lo to mid range torque .....i am not made of money so i need a cost effiecient engine that will let me run lo 14,s and if i can push so far as 2 high 13,s and of course an lsd tranny swap b20 vtec or building up intensly on a b16a have been the wayz i have been leaning so far i have a couple of mechanic friends who r ready 2 undertake the project with me so i should save some money there but i am crazy for speed and torque i would love 2 put numbers like 215 to 230 horses to the ground with the torque not far behind to have the torque over 200 would make me wet .......maybe junkyard turbo i dont know....wut u guyz think

What engine does it have? Is it the B18A1 like USDM integras?
How many miles/KM are on the car? If in KM, what is that in miles I don't know the conversion?

What 192,000 KM in miles?
That really sucks about that tranny, it's a really rare one. Is the engine in good mechanical condition? Any smoke out the exhaust? if so what color is it?

I think 190k km is somewhere around 120k miles

any ways, how much cash, but to hit low 14's high 13's.

Id say get the JDM B16A for 1300. there you get the tranny, engine, ecu. cuz you got all the rest of the needed stuff. and then get some 9:1 pistons and a turbo kit, and run say 12 psi. Id go lower on street just to be safe but 12psi should be fine for the track. and to tune it ive been reading on the hondata s200 and thats what im going wiht, its like 1000 bucks though and you wanted cost effective power so I dont really know how much you plan on spending, knowing the figures will help me and everybody here give you more help.

I was asking about the smoke because I want to know if his engine is able to have a turbo on it the way it is. If he just gets the turbo kit and runs about 8 PSI he should be into 14's no problem.

it needs outer tie rod ..2 cv boots...the seller gave me both...it still needs rear table bushings transm. seal but the compression is still good its at 4=150 3=145 2=148 1=147 doesnt seem be smokin at all ....whut u mean about the tranny being a really good one

well, all motor B20b you could probably get some good power, but if you wanna go B20, get the longblock, put your head on it with turbo cams and a turbo kit. cuz the B18b cams are better than the B20 cams, so maybe the head flows a bit better as well, and Im guessing your B18A head would be better as well.

Thats awesome specs, to be withing 5 of each other is really good. Being within 10 of each other is still OK even.
No smoke is good.
That tranny being that is a cable trans is a very desirable tranny to those that own 88-91 Civics and CRX's. If they want to do a B series swap they need either this tranny or a tranny from a B16A. But your tranny has longer gearing than the B16A tranny, so somebody that wants to go turbo would want this tranny. Somebody that wants to go all-motor would want the B16A tranny.

so wut is the best b20vtec or should i rebuild the b18 and turbo it or a b16 turbo all motor b16 say my limit is at 5000 grand maximum and most of the work i can get my friends to help me outwith and im guessing to extract the most torque means i have 2 go turbo

rebuild the B18 and boost it good. should put you around 5000, and you wont have to worry how long its gonna last cuz you know it was just rebuilt
