hi,
i was wondering if there was a car that you could get 300bhp+ out of it, but still be insured on it as a 19 year old?
bearing in mind i do live in the UK, and i was thinking something along the lines of being insurable, not costing £50,000 for the insurance
thanks
dave

The HP of a car would not prevent you from insuring the car. Your age will not affect getting the insurance, but it will make a difference on the amount you pay.

If you want cheap insurance, look for a car that you can do an easy motor swap on. Then get the slowest version and swap in a better motor.

ah,
so if say, i bought a renault clio 1.2 and swapped in a 1.4 turbo renault 5 engine, then would my insurance be affected, or would i still pay the same?
Could you please give me some examples?
thanks
Dave
