Amp & Speaker question???

ok im ordering some new infinity kappa speakers threw out the car 95 G. what is the right size for the rear deck? is it 5 1/4 or 6 1/2???? also can i use u a RF punch 360x2 to run the front doors and rear deck? or do i need a 4 way amp?? im not sure since there are alerady two stock amps in the car. help

the rear size is actually 6 3/4, but 6 1/2 will do.

I would dump the stock amps and go with two aftermarket amps

yeah im gonna get rid of the stock amps but i have a RF pounch 360x2 for my subs and i wanted to know if i can use that for the front and rear speakrs or if i need a 4way amp to power those. im gonna upgrade my sub amp so i wanan use the 360x2 for the speakers is that possible????

yeah, you would need a four channel amp for your speakers, because, 4 speakers= 4 channels.

If he's strapped for cash he could series the fet and right sides (you know front left and rear left together and the front right and rear right together) for an 8 ohm load. He won't be able to fade front to rear but will still be able to fade left to right. Or he could buy the 4 channel amp and completly ignore what I just rambled about.

yeah no im gonna get a 4 chanel the Audiobahn A4601X 75x2 at 4ohm so that should be good. i was checkin speaker sizes and i went to jbl.com and found this infinti size speakers this cant be right???? Sure that the p10 is a 4X6. The best thing to do is to get what they call a 4x6 plate which is like a mini component set with a separate tweeter built into the plate usually a 3/4" I've seen a 1" with a 4" midrange woofer. I had planet audio's and they sounded great b4 they stole my car!:mad:

I had a blue 91 g20 but the stole it to get at my system. They didn't ruin the car except the broke my woodgrain dash to get at my deck and the bent my rear seat with a prybar to get into the trunk cuz those idiots couldn't find our trunk release (hehehhehehe). But the car who just got violated. So when they found the car they fixed I got a new system and sold the car.

should i go with a 3way speaker for the rear or would that be to mnay tweaters cause teh plates in gettin have twaeters in them aswell???

Do you ever plan on putting subwoofers in your trunk? Because if you do you'd be better off not having rear fill unless you like riding around with your backseats open.

Speakers in the rear deck of your car filling out the mid range sound in the rear end of your car. Unless your G is a 95 or newer and you have 60/40 folding seats that trunk is pretty much sealed. Its hard to get bass out of our cars 'cause they are designed too WELL(no road noise)insulated. So to vent the sound waves you would go without rear fill and vent the bass into your car and use the speaker holes as ports.
