k&n filter

how much horsepower does a k&n filter add to a maxima, and does it make it sound any differet?

K&N states 2-4% in horepower gain...get the Stillen or a Place Racing cold air intake. Much more hp and a nice whistle on the high rpm side...

are you talking about a Cone intake or just a drop in K&N? If it's a cone, MaximaDave was right on the money. But if it's just a regualr drop in square filter, don't expect too much at all.

go with the cone intake. i put a drop in k&n on my 99 max and its not even worth changin it

the airbox of the stock intake allows a quiet flow, while adding an intake adds a loud intake noise b/c of the air in draws in with the turbulance. kinda like a whistle but deep sound.
