just to keep u all informed...

the civic u see in my sig at the bottom has been sold for about 6 months... i had to let it go cuz way too many things needed work lol.. and cuz i lost my job :mad: ...

but ANYWAYS, i got an s10, moved on, got a new job, been goin strong for a while...

the other day i was thinkin... hmm i really wanna get back into the honda game again... so i figured, shit, i myswell just build up a shell...

so im on my way to work a day later, and no jokes (trust me in this shitty 300,000 ppl city, u dont come across nothin)... i see this lil white rusty civic 88 4 door sittin on an angle in a parkin lot... and see the FOR SALE sign...
im like OOOO gotta stop and see what hes askin...
so i pull in, and its 500.$ CDN...

so now im right pumped.. call him when i get to work, go pick up the civ next day...:biggrin:

NOW the only probs are... it needs decent body work (pics soon enough)... and a head rebuild.. (blew a couple valves, camgear came loose, ect.)... so i figure i myswell make her my lil project ....

and ya.. thats my story :dogpile:

also... im sure the 4 door boys in here will be all over this lol... so i myswell ask a couple questions....

1) how do coil overs for these cars come along... same ones as the hatch?... or whats the deal?...

2) when takin the head off, what (more the less) bigger things am i going to have to remove?

3) to slam a car properly (minus camber kit)... what exactly am i going to need for a 4" drop with coil overs?... struts front, shocks back?.. or hows it work?.... :confused:

4) are the clear bumpers, clear signals the same as the hatch 88-89 ones?...

5) and finally, to install indiglo guages in these, what ones will fit?.. 88-89 hatch ones? or do they not make them?....

alright buddy here goes, the coilovers are the same so dont worry about it, if u wanna slam it like i did to mine then just go for some new shocks and struts, as for the gauges go on line and some websites like pep boys has gauges strictly for the dx 4 dr and whatever model u want, and for the clear corners they make clears for the 4 dr and i think also the bumper.

lol ... ill answer the only one i know the answer to.

the 88-89 4 door has specific corner lenses, but the bumper lenses from a 88-89 hatch will fit your 88 4 door.

And im pretty sure suspension shit from a hatch works on a 4 door but dont quote me on that. Wait till someone who knows replies.

u say new shocks/struts... well do the front and back have both shocks AND struts.. or am i an idiot and dont know whats going on?... help a brotha out :biggrin:
