I need a really good chrome paint for my Cefiro as there is chrome trim around the windows and the door handles are chrome. I am probably just going to brush paint it on after masking with Tamiya tape. Can you tell me the best one to use and also if it's available on HLJ so I can add it to my current order. Thanks.

You should use Bare Metal Foil for the window trim and the door handles.

It's a very thin chrome foil that gives a realistic look to chrome trim on model cars; it usually costs about $5 a sheet and it ususlly lasts about 10 models on the average. Most hobby shops should carry it. I use it on all of my cars that require chrome trim. I don't have a picture of the package right now as I'm at work but I'm sure somebody can post a picture up.

My Cefiro will probably be white. I have already ordered some gold BBS rims for it and it has a full RB20 engine so I am really looking forward to building this kit. I was considering painting the engine bay a different colour to the body colour as many drift cars have been resprayed without having the engine removed. Another idea was to have different rims front and rear but I want to build a really clean model so I might stick to the 18 inch BBS wheels. I dont really understand kosutte gin san, does it make plastic turn chrome? If so that would be excellent.

Yeah Kosutte Gin-San is like a chrome coating for plastic. You rub it on, the more you rub it the brighter it gets. Rubbing it different ways makes different finishes. I'm probrably painting my cefiro white too, but I'm unsure at the moment. I'm guessing you bought the High Power Unit kit too? I was also thinking of painting it italian red but still really undecided - I'll decide when I get around to building it. I bought 18" AVS Model 5's for mine but also have alot of other rims lying around I might consider....
