My Car is an 92 Eagle talon tsi awd, and I have got a problem. The car has a ruff idle, and sometimes after long use, doesn't start that easy. Its also smelling like its getting a lot of fuel. But I have replaced the O2 sensor, and that wasn't it, if any one on this site knows any related fixes, or ideas on this let me know. [email protected], or just IM me at musclecarskick on AIM. Thanks

Your idle could be an ISC problem/faliure. I bet you also have the famous DSM hot start condition.

do you have the stock bov or are you venting it that can also give you ilde problems. if you are venting and dont have any fuel management system your ecu thinks your engine is getting more air than it really is causing it to run rich. just a thought.

check your MAF and make sure its getting the connection it needs. This tells the engine how much fuel and spark to deliver as well as many other things. Also, do you have excessive oil consumption????

The car will hardly run, if it does at all, without the MAF plugged in.

not necessarily. I ran my car without a maf and it just burned up oil real quick and gas, and acted as if my spark plugs were 50 yrs old....

The MAF plug fell out once on me, and the car would hardly run. If it was on first start-up the car will run fine, but as the engine warms up it will start to get worse.
There is no reason why it would burn oil though, you must have other issues there.

yea my bad, i was thinking of that while typing it something else. The oil cunsumption was my PCV valve. Something got clogged up in it and was eating up oil quick...
